Privacy statement

Caddy.World processes personal data of its customers, prospects and other contact persons. This privacy statement explains which data Caddy.World processes when, why and in what way.

When does Caddy.World collect (personal) data?

This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal information and data provided by customers, prospects and other contact persons obtained when applying for and using our services (including domain name registration, hosting packages and all other services) and when visiting our website. . We also collect data when you subscribe to our newsletter, request information, ask a question, respond to our website or otherwise contact us.

Which (personal) data does Caddy.World process?

Caddy.World collects contact information such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth and bank details, data regarding previous orders and use of our services. We also store contact history, for example when you ask a question to our customer service. If you use our helpdesk, we have your contact details and we can save the content of the conversations in order to provide you with a better service in the future and to improve our own information provision.

In addition to the personal data that you provide to Caddy.World yourself, Caddy.World may collect, record and process additional personal data about your use of our services and website(s). Depending on the services you purchase from us, Caddy.World stores traffic and location data. This only concerns data relating to your communication, not the communication itself.

We also collect data about the equipment you use, such as a unique device ID, the version of the operating system settings of the device you use to visit our website, as well as data about the use of our website(s), such as the time when you visit us and the topics you view. The response (opens and clicks) to our emails are also recorded on an individual level.

Why do we process (personal) data

Caddy.World processes personal data in order to provide its services. For example, we store data for creating an account, the financial administrative processing and of course the application for a domain name. Caddy.World also needs data when (being able to) answer questions, handle complaints and processing any refunds. After placing an order, a quotation and invoice number is linked to your account.

In addition, we store your IP address for security reasons. This way it can be checked from which IP address is logged in to the account or changes are made. Caddy.World also stores other traffic and location data in order to enable its services and/or to be able to settle administratively and financially.

Caddy.World uses cookies on its websites. We do this to analyze our websites and make them function optimally, to improve our services, for social media and to show relevant advertisements on other websites. Read more about this in our cookie statement.

Third party recipients

Caddy.World uses systems or services of third-party suppliers, where the supplier may also have access to data of our customers. Some of our suppliers are located in the USA. These parties are certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield or contractual agreements exist about an appropriate level of security.

Caddy.World acts as an intermediary (registrar) for the application, allocation and possible use of a domain name. Your application will be passed on to the relevant registration authorities, such as the Stichting Internet Domeinregistratie Nederland (SIDN). The authority decides on the allocation of your domain name. In order to make registration possible, Caddy.World will pass on your application details (contact details (name, e-mail address, telephone number and correspondence address) to these authorities.

Personal data is exchanged within the Caddy.World group. If you are a customer of Caddy.World, we also regard you as a customer of the other companies belonging to the Caddy.World group. Caddy.World does not sell personal data to third parties.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, everyone has a number of rights. You can request Caddy.World to see which personal data we process about you. It also states how and why we process that data. If Caddy.World processes incorrect or incomplete data, we will adjust this at your request. You can also request removal. It is possible that Caddy.World is still obliged to process the data for other purposes (administration, tax retention obligation). If you suspect that we are processing your personal data unlawfully or incorrectly, you can also have that processing limited. You can also object to the processing of your personal data for marketing or other purposes. The right to data portability is new under the GDPR. You can ask Caddy.World to transfer or have your personal data transferred. Finally, you can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter or other processing.

You can arrange most of the above rights yourself via the Caddy.World Customer Panel. Of course you can contact us via info@RKDesigns.nl to exercise your rights.

Do you feel that Caddy.World does not act in accordance with privacy legislation? Or if you have any comments or questions, we would of course like to hear from you. As of 25 May 2018, you can also submit a complaint to the AP.

Security

Caddy.World has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures and monitors and protects all its services (in)visibly against misuse and fraud. Caddy.World also engages third parties in the performance of its services. Insofar as these third parties process (personal) data when performing the relevant services, they do so in the capacity of processor. The processor concerned will of course only receive the necessary data and will be (contractually) obliged to maintain an appropriate level of security and to handle personal data with care. In addition, personal data is not kept longer than necessary. Caddy.World is legally obliged to store traffic and location data for judicial investigation and investigation purposes on the basis of the Telecom Data Retention Act.
